Job Description Job Description I&C Engineer - P&IDs | HVAC | Secure Facilities | Ogden, UT Nexeo HR is assisting with direct?hire placement for an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer supporting a critical large?scale infrastructure modernization program in Ogden, Utah. This role focuses on control system design for large, complex, highly regulated facilities including HVAC, lighting, power, and utility systems. Engineers will develop P&IDs, logic diagrams, instrument data sheets, and control documentation using AutoCAD and SpecsIntact while working within a multi?discipline BIM environment. Enjoy a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off), paid overtime, and relocation assistance. Responsibilities • Design control systems for facility utilities including HVAC, lighting, power, and utility systems • Create and review P&IDs, logic diagrams, and functional block diagrams in AutoCAD • Develop instrument data sheets, instrument indexes, and I/O lists • Prepare specifications and procurement documents using SpecsIntact • Review vendor submittals and integrate into overall design solutions • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and systems engineering teams • Ensure designs meet strict facility security, reliability, and cybersecurity requirements • Maintain quality standards, code compliance, and schedule adherence throughout the design lifecycle Qualifications Requirements & Qualifications • Ability to meet site access and background requirements for secure, regulated facilities • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR 7 years of relevant facility controls experience • Experience designing control systems for facilities (not manufacturing PLC production lines) • Strong knowledge of control system design principles and applicable codes and standards • Proficiency in AutoCAD • Experience developing P&IDs, instrument data sheets, and technical specifications • Background in large, complex facilities such as: ? Nuclear or energy facilities ? Data centers ? Utility or infrastructure plants ? Large secure or industrial facilities • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and process drawings • Real ID?compliant driver’s license Highly Desired • EIT or PE license • Experience with SmartPlant 3D and SmartSketch • Familiarity with SpecsIntact and CSI MasterFormat • Knowledge of secure facility design requirements and high?reliability environments • Experience supporting highly regulated infrastructure or mission?critical programs • ISO?9000 quality program familiarity Pay Rate $100,000 - $130,000 Annually Schedule Full Time | 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off) • Paid overtime Compensation & Benefits • Paid overtime • 9x80 work schedule (every other Friday off) • Excellent work-life balance • Relocation allowance for non-local candidates Questions?
