SDL has been awarded by NASA/JPL to be a key stake holder in the
development of the Near-Earth Object Surveyor (NEOS) instrument.
SDL's role is to design, analyze, fabricate, and test
key-subsystems involving optical, mechanical, and electronic
assemblies. SDL will be the primary instrument assembler and
integrator and will perform test and calibration at the assembled
instrument level at its facilities in Logan, UT. Our delivery date
is in the spring of 2025.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management contributor trading issues of scope, approach,
risk, cost, and schedule
Interface with NASA/JPL business office
Work directly with project scheduler, EVM manager, cost analyst,
and CAMs to implement Earned Value Management (EVM) tracking and
reporting
Work directly with the technical team in procuring materials and
sub-contracts as necessary, actively participating in quotations
and approvals
Work with project cost analyst and scheduler to develop what-if
scenarios on project funding
Advise team members on procurement processes and requirements for
proper traceability and verification documentation
Required Qualifications
BS in a technical engineering or business discipline
Five or more years involved in the business and financial aspects
of program management
Proficiency in preparing project proposals, project reports, and
status
Understanding of Work Breakdown Structures, Gantt
chart/waterfall-based program schedules, milestones
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, proactively obtain
information needed
Must be a US citizen
