JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for managing shipping, distribution, and packing operations to reduce costs and maintain superior quality for potato production operation. Specific duties include: (1) Managing a team to ensure incoming loads of potatoes to the warehouse are washed, sized, sorted, and merchandized to the correct customer specifications; (2) Supervising the bagging, packing, and loading operations for shipping and distribution using industrial processing machinery to ensure the quality of potatoes and packaging; (3) Monitoring and reporting potato quality from the lab and shipping facility to the customer; (4) Supervising the practice of preventative maintenance of all equipment in the warehouse; (5) Understanding and overseeing Good Agricultural Practice and food safety procedures; (6) Managing the logistics of transportation of potatoes from the field and storages to the shed; (7) Managing remaining potato inventory supply in the field and in storage, assessing inventory needs, and forecasting production capacity and delivery; (8) Managing inventory of packing products for storage packing and distribution.



REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of industrial packing or shipping experience, including specific experience with potato handling equipment, state-of-the-art packaging equipment, and hydraulics and electrical systems. Frequent travel required between Maricopa, AZ (approx. May-July) and Pocatello, ID (approx. August-April).
