Utah State University hosts the Utah Marriage Commission. See H.B.
55 from the 2021 General Session of the Utah Legislature. The
Marriage Commission Manager will oversee programmatic,
administrative, and operational activities of funded programs,
donor sponsored events, revenue generating efforts, and other
short- and long-term projects. The Marriage Commission Manager will
provide leadership for new initiatives, expand existing programs,
and develop private-public partnerships. The Marriage Commission
Manager will also facilitate promotional and fundraising activities
and coordinate the related efforts of Commission leadership, staff,
board members, donors, volunteers, and other supporters. The
Marriage Commission Manager will plan and coordinate with USU
faculty/staff and partnering organizations to optimize the reach
and impact of the Utah Marriage Commission. This may include
supervising staff, students, and volunteers. The position is
intended to be time (.75 FTE). Part-time may be considered.

upon performance and on-going funding from the Utah Marriage
Commission. Office space will be provided in Logan Utah. Remote
work, if approved, most follow USU policy 330.
This position is contingent upon ongoing funding.
- Directs the programmatic, operational and administrative
aspects of the Utah Marriage Commission assigned to Utah State
University. Plans, supervises, and monitors the progress of Utah
Marriage Commission initiatives.
- Writes, edits, and coordinates development of promotional
materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters,
- Writes and/or assists with writing grants and proposals as
appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the
- Coordinates fundraising and sponsorship efforts. Develops
- Coordinates content for project website.
- Provides updates and information to project stakeholders.
- Collects and analyzes data; prepares scheduled and special
reports; maintains program records and statistical information to
meet state and federal requirements.
- Presents on topics related to the Utah Marriage Commission in
person or virtually.
- Analyzes problems and applies corrective action as needed.
- Ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and
- Monitors and administers program revenues and expenses; may
develop or participate in the development of funding
- Contributes to business and operational decisions that affect
- May serve as administrative proxy for the Utah Marriage
Commission and supporting faculty.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of
experience; or a masters degree in a related field; or equivalent
combination of education plus experience is required.
- A strong desire to promote healthy relationships

- Social skills to effectively interact and network with
community members, elected officials, donors, and partnering
- Ability to travel and flexibility to work occasional evenings
