collaborative Assistant Dean of Experiential Learning to lead and
evolve simulation-based education within our School of Nursing.

As Assistant Dean, you will: Set the strategic direction for
simulation and skills-based learning Lead the evolution of
cutting-edge simulation centers and labs Partner closely with
academic leadership to align innovation with outcomes Shape faculty
development and elevate instructional excellence Prepare students

Strategy & Innovation Partner with the Associate Dean to define and
advance a forward-thinking vision for experiential learning
Integrate emerging simulation technologies, immersive tools, and
best practices into academic programs Pilot new initiatives that
enhance learning quality, realism, and student outcomes Oversee
Simulation & Skills Lab Excellence Provide operational leadership
for simulation centers and skills labs Guide scenario development,
equipment acquisition, space utilization, and technology deployment
Ensure alignment with Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best
Practice™ (HSSOBP) and accreditation expectations Build and Inspire
High-Performing Teams Mentor simulation directors, experiential
educators, and staff Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation,
and continuous improvement Design and deliver faculty development
and training programs Build strong cross-departmental partnerships
to advance experiential learning Drive Quality & Continuous
Improvement Use data and outcomes to assess effectiveness and
inform enhancements Support SSH accreditation processes and ongoing
readiness Contribute to scholarship through research,
presentations, and professional engagement Requirements: What You
Bring We’re looking for a leader who is curious, collaborative,
student-centered, and energized by innovation. Required Active Utah
RN license Master’s degree in Nursing Passion for experiential
learning and student success Preferred (but not required) Doctoral
degree CHSE certification (or willingness to obtain within 24
months) 5 years of simulation instruction and/or management
experience Strong leadership, communication, and
