to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Pocatello, Idaho, 83201! Job
Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered
Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1-2 years preferred License: RN
Idaho license Certifications: BLS, ACLS (within 12 months of hire)
Must-Have: Experience with Epic charting Description: Demonstrates
knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing Process for patients
in various age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents,
adults, and geriatrics. Documents thoroughly as care is delivered,
following regulatory and hospital requirements. Assumes
responsibility for clinical competencies and professional
development of self and others. Practices in a clinical environment
through application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Ability to work varied shifts and/or days, including weekends and
holidays. Must utilize good judgment, demonstrate patience, and
implement best practices for patient care as expected by department
leaders. Maintains a professional demeanor at all times. Must work
in a busy, stressful environment where practice changes meet new
patient safety requirements, goals, or objectives. Computer skills
include Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records
software. Possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to
prioritize and manage workload expectations. Exhibits interpersonal
verbal communication and advanced math skills. Demonstrates
creativity, problem analysis, teamwork, and decision-making
abilities. Patient Diagnoses include: Sepsis CIWA Confusion Acute
Mental Status changes COPD Post-operative care Acute Kidney Injury
Trauma Respiratory failure Bowel obstruction Pyelonephritis Cardiac
conditions Diabetes GI conditions Isolation precautions Patient
Ratios: 1:6 Float Requirement: Yes, as long as competencies are
