Job Description:

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our InstaCare team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. As a cornerstone of our patient care operations, you will play an essential role in providing top-notch medical services in a fast-paced environment. This role demands a compassionate professional who is adept at balancing patient interaction with clinical tasks, ensuring a seamless operational flow. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the environments sterile and equipped. Perform basic diagnostic procedures, such as EKGs and phlebotomy, as per provider's orders. Administer injections and medications, and dress wounds and incisions as directed by the physician. Maintain patient records and other information following HIPAA regulations. Coordinate patient care by communicating effectively with other team members and departments. Provide educational support and compassionate care to patients and their families. Proficient in clinical procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, and administering injections Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with electronic health record (EHR) systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists is highly preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required
