Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Pocatello, ID Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,682 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1-2 years preferred License: RN Idaho license Certifications: BLS, ACLS (within 12 months of hire) Must-Have: Epic charting experience Description: The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will demonstrate knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing Process for patients across all age groups. The nurse will document thoroughly as care is delivered, following regulatory and hospital requirements. Assumes responsibility for clinical competencies and professional development of self and others. Practices in a clinical environment through application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Ability to work varied shifts and/or days, including weekends and holidays, is essential. Must utilize good judgment and demonstrate patience while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment where practice changes to meet new patient safety requirements, goals, or objectives is necessary. Computer skills should include proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records software. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage workload expectations are required. Excellent interpersonal communication and advanced math skills are essential. The role also requires creativity, problem analysis, teamwork, and decision-making abilities. Patient diagnoses include sepsis, withdrawal symptoms, confusion, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, and various other medical conditions. The nurse may be required to float as long as competencies are met. Patient ratios are typically 1 nurse to 6 patients. The daily census on the unit is around 48 patients, with a capacity of 48 beds.
