POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Nurse Coordinator manages healthcareteam--members,--must have excellent communication skills to effectivelycounsel, support, and direct.-- Expected to lead others through change andcrisis situations.-- Must have excellent critical thinking skills toproblem solve issues. Must be able to delegate responsibilities to subordinatesbased on skill sets and scope of practice.-- Expected to receive and givepatient care reports.-- Expected to assist in--completion of annual reviewsas delegated.-- Some other responsibilities within role--include:--chairing committees within the department,manage resource issues (staffing), oversee scheduling conflicts and facilitateorientation and on-going education of employees.--------Must have clinicalcompetence to serve as resource to subordinates. Must be self-directed with theability to lead others.-- Must have effective communication, be able tocritically think quickly under stress and respond appropriately to--crisis situations.
