implement and manage technology solutions and tools that enable the
important work of WECC to be accomplished while safeguarding
critical energy infrastructure and other data from theft or misuse.
We are seeking a Director, Information Systems and Technology to
help us further our mission and achieve our business goals. The
Director, Information Systems and Technology is critical role
responsible for directing the planning, design, delivery,
assessment, and oversight of IT operations, applications,
infrastructure, and security for the complex business requirements
at WECC. This role identifies needs, requirements, and security
risks, recommends solutions and improvements, and oversees the
application of all data security and IT projects. This role leads
through innovation and provides technical expertise, ensuring
WECC’s systems meet NIST security standards and best practices. You
will— Analyze IT infrastructure and system performance to assess
operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and
other metrics and needs. Protect information systems and technology
assets by developing and leading physical and cybersecurity
strategies. Oversee the development of configuration and
performance criteria for network infrastructure and implement
monitoring/controls to ensure adequate operations. Work closely
with department managers to evaluate business needs, objectives,
and goals, and work to recommend, implement, and support secure and
cost-effective technology solutions. Propose and develop corporate
IT policies, procedures, and standards to meet the corporate
security posture. Support system security safeguards by engaging in
business continuity activities, including disaster recovery.
Participate in ERO Enterprise IT groups to align technology goals,
tools, and applications, where possible, that are consistent with
best practices. Develop three-year IT roadmaps and associated
budgets to meet short- and long-term corporate goals. Oversee
planning, provisioning, implementing, and operation of local-area
networks, wide-area networks, high-speed telecommunications,
security and information systems and services that meet business
expectations for performance, availability, and security. Oversee
the operational management of software systems and applications and
oversee day-to-day department operations. Develop and maintain
relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
Manage, lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of 13 IT
professionals. Requirements:You will enjoy this role if you— Have a
bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an
accredited four-year college or university, or an equivalent
combination of education and related industry experience showing
the ability to perform major duties. Have a minimum of ten years’
experience managing an IT department. Have experience in integrated
solutions as well as leading organizational, digital
transformation, and innovation projects. Possess expertise in
information technology systems, enterprise software applications,
and software application development, including applications
supporting multiple entity operations. Have experience with ITIL
and working in an ITSM environment. Have proven success building
and leading high-performing technology teams. Possess a global
perspective and broad understanding of critical infrastructure
protection subject areas including physical and cybersecurity.
Exhibit diplomacy, an innovative mindset, and a collaborative
leadership style, and are comfortable working across functions and
geographies. Possess in-depth knowledge of common IT infrastructure
technologies to meet the needs of a small, but heavily data-focused
organization. Are connected to current technological trends and can
quickly assist/drive technology selection and build vs. buy vs.
integrate decision-making process. Possess extensive knowledge of:
the principles and practices of risk management, information
security, and modern data management theory; and related
technology; application development life cycles; wide-area and
local-area networking protocols; emergency preparedness practices;
and office productivity applications. Possess strong computer
literacy and proficiency using PCs, including a working knowledge
of common applications such as those in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Understand and adhere to sound principles of cybersecurity,
including protecting sensitive information, using secure passwords,
and following organizational cybersecurity protocols. Lead through

and Compensation The base salary range for this full-time position
is $154,500–$220,700 discretionary pay benefits. Our salary ranges
are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job
posting reflects the minimum and mid-point for the position across
all locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by
additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and
relevant education or training. Your recruiter will share more
