Job Description:

Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Equipment Operator / HAZMAT Truck Driver to join our Transportation & Logistics team. This role is essential for facilitating the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous materials and operating specialized equipment for environmental clean-up projects across North America. You will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to protect the environment through responsible handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous substances. Our drivers are pivotal in maintaining our reputation for safety and compliance, aligning with our environmental, energy, and industrial service goals. Operate Class A vehicles and heavy equipment for environmental projects. Transport hazardous waste across various locations in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure safe vehicle operation. Load and unload materials, ensuring proper safety measures are followed. Maintain logs and records as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Clean Harbors. Participate in training and emergency response drills. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project execution and safety. Proficiency in operating Class A CDL vehicles and heavy equipment. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards for HAZMAT. Effective communication and documentation skills. Ability to navigate and read maps for efficient route planning. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements. Clean driving record. Current DOT medical card. OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification preferred.
