Job Description The Account Manager and Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing key accounts. Key accounts include customer accounts that provide the largest amount of revenue for the company. The Account Manager and Inside Sales Representative will be the primary contact for these key account customers throughout the sales and project cycle and will be responsible for interfacing between the customer and the companys scientific, technical, and production team to quickly identify and execute solutions to promptly meet the needs of the customer.
This manager is also a sales representative, primarily in that they are responsible for identifying additional opportunities for key account customers to add value to their enterprise through additional usage of Quansys products and solutions. This account manager and sales rep will also have opportunity to generate new customer leads.

Roles and Responsibilities include: Provide superb, proactive customer support to key account customers Directly manage key accounts Follow-up with key account customers throughout the entire sales and project cycle to make sure their needs are being met effectively Responsible for coordinating timely, high quality delivery of products and projects to key account customers Track and monitor all issued sales orders for key account customers throughout the process Targeted cold call schedule as outlined by supervisor to reach potential customers File records of transactions as necessary (electronically and physically) Proficiency with SalesForce and ZoomInfo (training as needed can be provided) Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of personal sales, methods, costs, and results Initiate and drive the development of new proposals and quotes Establish and implement, with Vice President of Sales, personal short- and long-term goals and objectives Represent the company at various business meetings, on-site demos, and other events to promote the company Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance sales operations and products Achieve monthly cookbook behaviors, quotas of qualified opportunities and closed business Educate, train, and support new/existing customers on Quansys assays, instrumentation, software, and data analysis Providing support for key account customers wishing to develop their own assays Providing technical troubleshooting assistance for key account customer orders, account statuses and relevant problems Staying up to date with new products and feature launches and ensure sales team is on board Other duties as may assigned

Education: B.S. in Life Sciences, Engineering or related field o Equivalent experience demonstrating capacity to quickly learn key scientific concepts is acceptable Masters Degree or higher preferred in a Life Sciences or related field

Experience: 2-5 years in Sales and or Business Development Experience solving technical problems and/or troubleshooting scientific issues Record of building relationships with internal and external customers Customer service management experience Experience in protein biochemistry preferred

Required Skills: Extraordinary commitment to customer service Exceptional project management skills Strong attention to detail Ability to learn advanced scientific concepts; if candidate lacks scientific background described in Preferred Skills, candidate must be able to demonstrate unusual ability to rapidly learn key applicable concepts Highly motivated self-starter Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English A wide degree of creativity is expected including the ability to multi-task and work productively in a demanding research environment with dynamic priorities Critical thinking Communication Skills o Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills o Both strong oral presentation and written communication o Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences o Excellent computer skills Technical Skills o Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures o Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community o Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Leadership

Preferred Skills: Strong technical background in immunology or virology, or related field Experience in protein biochemistry Experience with immunoassays Hands-on experience working in a biology lab, clinical lab, discovery lab, or biochemistry lab in a research or clinical setting is preferred Experience with computer data processing and other software used to analyze and report scientific activities
