Job Description Kartchner Homes is looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in the Logan, UT Office. The Controller will manage the overall accounting operations of Kartchner Homes including timely and accurate financial and operational reports, training and motivation of team members, implementation of accounting policies and procedures, budget and cost control, data processing, cash management, and performance/best practice analysis reporting. Key Responsibilities & Attributes for Success: Oversees accounting and bookkeeping functions. Processes month end journal, closing entries, and produces financial reports. Reports include balance sheet, income statement, cash flow forecast, G.P., and budget operation performance. Prepares cash requirements report for each check run for approval. A cash flow projection report is often a portion of this procedure. Holds regular staff meetings, semi annual reviews, and motivates assigned staff to positive performance. Attend and participate in regular management team meetings for Kartchner Homes. Tracks and reports on operational performance benchmarks and actual results. Uses trend analysis to keep management teams informed of areas of needed improvement. Assist Construction Manager and Estimator/Purchasing department with monthly variance analysis. Maintains internal accounting controls to ensure professional and secure handling of Kartchner Homes finances. Responsible for Kartchner Homes Rebate Program Whats required to be considered: People skills to articulately and professionally handle communication with customers, employees, vendors, and stakeholders. 3 years of experience in Accounting and a minimum of a Masters in Accounting Ability to hold information confidential.
