Under limited direction, the Office Assistant will perform a variety of office support and clerical duties for the Economics & Finance Department and the USU tax school.The Tax School is a Continuing Professional event attended by approximately 360 accountants. The event is typically a live event held in both Salt Lake City and St. George - two days at each location. Welcome and direct in-person visitors and in-coming phone calls. The busy season for the Tax School is October through December. Additional hours will be required during the tax school busy season as needed.Will assist in preparing for and delivery of the USU Income Tax School. Primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:Preparing advertising brochuresTaking registrationsResponding to questionsArranging for travelAttending eventsCorrespondence with presentersFiling relevant attendance formsAnswering phonesWelcoming and directing visitorsMonitor and order department supplies as neededUse various software platforms to perform basic administrative functions for the departmentSort mail on our assigned dayTwo to four years previous office/clerical experience preferred.Along with the online application, please attach:1.
