The Business Assistant II
position will provide office and financial reporting support to the
Statewide Business Services Team. The successful candidate will
collect and validate data, maintain and prepare accurate records
and reports, and coordinate program activity with academic

- FINANCE: Prepare
requests for transfers of funding to academic departments or to
other statewide campuses adhering to USU Financial policies and
procedures. Prepare requests to move expenses to correct indexes or
account codes and provide appropriate documentation. Prepare
monthly reports on financial transactions using custom
RECONCILIATIONS: Coordinate timely and accurate information with
academic departments for statewide campus programs. Ensure proposed
transfers/payments are complying with MOUs, University policies and
USU payroll practices. Allocate funds from holding revenue accounts
as needed to ensure timely revenue recognition.
INVENTORY: Provide monthly reporting on non-capital equipment
purchased at statewide campuses. Compare to equipment tracking
system to ensure purchased items have been entered into system.
Record information of non-capital equipment purchased such as
manufacturer, model, serial number, and purchase date. Participate
in annual audit throughout state.
- COURSE CORRECTIONS:
Verify courses were built correctly. Identify and resolve any
inaccuracies to courses or fees.

SPONSORSHIPS: Record and process Sponsorship Authorization forms.
Work with team members to create and verify accuracy of sponsorship
- GENERAL OFFICE
SUPPORT: Provide office support in document retention, training,
procedure development, and other office duties as
- Four years of related work experience; or an associate
degree/technical training plus two years of related work
experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field is
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with little supervision and as a team
- Proven efficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to make
accurate and professional documents.
- Experience with Statewide Campuses
- Experience with Banner student and finance modules.
- Experience with ARGOS
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and
