This role will lead and partner across multiple business units and functions with a focus on aligning with the HR platforms, driving change management, and creating a consistent and positive employee culture.What will you do?Primary responsibility will be supporting our Logan, UT BPD siteActs as the primary site HR partner for a moderate size client groupAttracts, hires, trains, develops and retains a team of HR professionals to meet business needsAccelerates HR partner development through both individual and group development actionsActs as escalation point for employee relations and performance management concernsShares and leverages best practices from across the organizationEvaluates site policies and practices and guides improvement or harmonization effortsManages the flow of information and communications both from and to the site HR populationFacilitates organizational diagnosis by using metrics to build talent and organizational capabilitiesActs as a catalyst for change; provides guidance and best practices for organizational design, development and change management solutionsCoaches HR talent on complex leadership and HR issues including development, engagement, and talent performance and issues that create a competitive advantage for the businessKeeps abreast of industry, market and functional trends, and leverages these insights to develop appropriate business unit HR strategies and solutionsEvaluates work requests from across the organization and determines prioritization in collaboration with the business and in alignment with the HR modelPartners with US and Canada field leadership team and HR Center of Excellence (COE) owners in shaping appropriate and innovative HR solutionsEnsures activities throughout the assigned sites are core, common and consistentEnsures fairness and organizational consistency with our values in everything we doLeads process improvement and continuous learning culture across sites and the broader field organizationLeads special projects as assignedHow will you get here?BA/BS requiredMA/MS preferred Skills & Qualifications:10+ years of progressive Human Resources Management experience from a large multi-national companyA minimum of 2 years as senior HR partner supporting executives a regional or global environment.Demonstrated people management/leadership capabilities. People management experience preferred.A strong track record for developing and coaching business and HR ProfessionalsExperience as a strategic HR partner with credibility as a trusted advisorComprehensive HR experience, including a complete understanding of and hands on exposure to the full mix of HR functions in a global environmentMust have ability to develop solid and positive professional relationships with senior leadership, subordinates and peers in a heavily matrixed environmentExperience working with a variety of functions including R&D, commercial (sales, field marketing and service), marketing, product development, engineering, strategic planning, and operationsA track record of positive results and an ability to show how his/her programs and initiatives have contributed to the growth and bottom line profitability of an organization while enhancing or driving cultural changeMust have led/been directly involved in significant change management initiatives in prior rolesExperience with Process Improvement approaches (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Practical Process Improvement, etc.)Self-motivated; bias for actionEffective communication skills with proven ability to influence without direct authorityAbility to use a high level of confidentiality, tact, diplomacy, discretion and empathy/understanding in a global environment across multiple culturesStrong project management skills with ability to manage short term deliverables concurrent with longer-term strategic milestones Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue exceeding $32 billion.
