Overview

Award-winning marketing team seeks an energetic, organized college editor and writer.

We are looking for someone who loves words and has a strong desire to provide professionally finished products. This person will work in the USU campus College of Agriculture Marketing office and will provide on-the-spot editing as necessary. This person will write and create content for newsletters, flyers, press releasees, social media, and websites with specific attention to career and technical education programs.

Responsibilities

Editor Proofread and edit magazines, press releases, bulletins, web content, brochures, and other statewide college marketing materials

Writer Write and create content for magazines, press releases, bulletins, websites, brochures, social media and other statewide college marketing materialsDigital Communicator Use email software, such as Constant Contact, to organize and send digital newsletters and messagingOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have: "Eagle eye" editorial skills Web knowledge and the ability to post content using a program similar to WordPress A strong knowledge and command of AP Style Strong writing skills The ability to be a self-starter who can work well alone and also as an invested team player Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written A strong desire to provide amazing customer service Light graphic design skills Strong organizational skills

A bachelor's degree in public relations, communication, or a related field is preferred.
