The Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department at Utah State University seeks applicants for two full-time academic year Professional Practice Assistant Professor positions (non-tenure track, open rank). These positions have an anticipated start date of Fall 2021. The primary responsibilities are developing and teaching application-based graduate-level courses in mechanical engineering. Duties include instruction and curriculum development in the master level composite materials and structures engineering, or other relevant mechanical engineering courses as assigned by the department head. In addition, the successful candidates will help the department develop a Master Program in Composite Materials Engineering as part of the Center for Advanced Composite Materials and Structures. The position requires an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field, and a broad range of knowledge in mechanical engineering and composite materials and structures topics. Industrial and/or research laboratory experience is highly desirable.Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Developing and teaching application-based courses in mechanical engineering.
