Job Title: Electronics Technician IOpen date: 04/13/2021Close date: 04/27/2021 Department: ManufacturingDivision: ManufacturingClassification: Non-exempt, HourlyStatus: Full TimeLocation: Logan, UTEEO job code / group: 3 TechniciansReporting to: Product Engineer ManagerPositions supervised: None Job SummaryThe electronics technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting and repairing complex PCAs at the component level and in assuring that electronic products meet Campbell Scientifics quality control standards. Essential Functions Bench and environmental testing of PCAs following Campbell Scientific test procedures Component-level troubleshooting and repair of equipment failures Interface with quality control to eliminate process- or vendor-related problems Required Technical and Functional Skills Demonstrated ability to use standard bench testing equipment including DMM, oscilloscope, and function generator Ability to analyze electronic circuits with the ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and test procedures Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Excellent communication skills Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and productively while observing quality and safety standards Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Create and maintain a strong culture in accordance with the Campbell Scientifics core ARCTIC values -- Accountability, Respect, Client-Centric, Teamwork, Innovation, Continuous Improvement Preferred qualifications IPC 610, 7711, J-STD-001 certified RF experience including troubleshooting and maintenance of RF transceivers Object-oriented programming experience (C++, C#, Visual basic, Python, ect.) Performance metrics Consistently maintain and improve product test processes and quality by monitoring in-process defects Documentation and correction of all test failures Other as determined important to a product, project, or process, etc. Required education and relevant experience Requires at least a two-year associates degree in electronics technology, equivalent military or on the job experience Work environment: All work is done in an electronics manufacturing facility with a majority of the time spent at a computer and product-testing work station.Physical requirements: Combination of standing and sitting for extended hours during the work day; close and distance vision abilities including color and depth perception. Able to lift, move, and carry up to 40 lbs. over short distances and to a height of up to 4 pensation: Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.
