Brief Description: TTM offers paid internships to qualified students who are looking to gain professional experience. Internships are designed to help build your professional credentials by providing meaningful, practical, on-the-job training and experiences, while also igniting your imagination.

Projects Intern Will Work On:

Seek and gather information from management, employees and other departments regarding the effectiveness of training and constantly seek to improve.

Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs.

Actively seek current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees.

Schedule and conduct meetings with management to proactively identify topics to be addressed or areas in need of additional training.

Assess training needs for new and existing employees.

Gather qualitative and quantitative retention data by conducting and analyzing employee surveys and/or stay interviews.

Build employee networks, tasks forces and committees to perpetuate continued and positive communication and feedback with employees.

Serve as an employee resource for employees to ask questions and provide feedback

Facilitate plan to continuously and personally follow up with employees to determine current employment experience. Address areas of issues and concern.

Determine gaps where additional employee, supervisor and management training is needed.

Coordinate (and possibly conduct) supervisor and management training and development programs to perpetuate retention at the site.

Continually engage with new and current employees throughout the site. Position requires candidate to be on the shop floor up to 50% of the workday

Education and/or Experience:

Currently a College Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, Marketing or any related degree.

Language/Communication Skills:

Must be proficient in reading and writing in English. Demonstrates excellent communication skills (written and oral). Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to employees, supervisors and managers.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amount such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer hardware and/or software programs including MS Office and HRIS systems. Will be required to learn department specific programs and computer applications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, and use hands to touch or feel items, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; perform repetitive motion.

This position is considered a light-duty position, meaning that employees may be required to lift up to 10 pounds.

Wage: $18.00/hr.

Hours: 20-30 per week.

Export Statement:

a) Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. b) Ensure compliance with the Corporate Export policies through implementation and enforcement of these procedures at the plant level. c) Provide training, assistance and support to all departments to ensure policy compliance. d) Conduct periodic audits as required. e) Prepare and submit ITAR and EAR license application documentation as required. f) Provide feedback to Corporate Export Compliance Office for continuous improvement of procedures and overall Export Compliance program.
