Your work will have real-world impact, and you'll be supported in achieving your career goals.Location/Division Specific InformationLogan, UT / BioProduction Group, Single-Use Technologies Division, Bioprocess Equipment & AutomationThe BioProduction Group provides our biotechnology and biopharmaceutical customers with best-in-class single-use bioprocessing systems to use across their entire bioproduction workflow.How will you make an impact?The Customer Technical Documentation team assembles customer turnover packages for Thermo Fisher's industry-leading, single-use bioprocessing hardware used in both stand-alone applications and integrated with the Thermo Scientific TruBio software. These innovative bioprocessing systems are used to develop and commercially manufacture biopharmaceutical medicines which help to treat diseases and improve the quality of life of patients.What will you do?The Customer Technical Documentation Supervisor leads all aspects of the turnover package team, develops & maintains well documented procedures / practices / automation utilities, and ensures that high quality products are delivered in a scalable, efficient manner.Supervisor's Responsibilities include:Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define content for turnover packagesStandardizing turnover packages across the different product portfolios of the businessDeveloping and maintaining automation utilities to optimize the generation of turnover packagesCrafting innovative ways to improve efficiency, improve quality, and support the fast-growing businessScheduling tasks to ensure project timelines are metBuilding working relationships with suppliers to share and maintain product certification documentationWorking closely with engineering and quality teams to create certifications and release criteria documentation for new productsCreating and maintaining product specificationsWorking hard to create an inclusive and diverse work environment for employeesFostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the teamProviding technical mentorship and support for project executionDeveloping individuals and the team, so they operate efficiently and independentlyBuilding an environment where employees can grow and develop into greater levels of contributionTeam's Responsibilities include:Assembling customized turnover packages in both electronic and paper formatsCoordinating with project teams to ensure that turnover package content is accurate and up to dateWorking well in a fast-paced environment under tight timelinesHow will you get here?EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a customer documentation roleExperienceMinimum 7 years of experience in customer documentation, preferably direct experience with turnover packagesFamiliarity with bioprocessing equipment and automationExperience creating robust processes and proceduresKnowledge and experience with practical process improvement (PPI)Managerial or supervisory experience (preferred)Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesForward-thinking, dedicated, self-motivated, proactive, and capable of adhering to tight project schedulesAbility to multi-task and prioritize project demandsInnovative thinking and problem-solving skillsVBA or equivalent programming knowledge (preferred)Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue exceeding $35 billion.
