The Manufacturing Operator position is responsible for the development of flexible packaging through various tasks such as inspecting, testing, fixturing, and assembly of product per approved procedures.
In this role you will
Provide support to Operations Supervisor with assigned tasks to include receipt of procured goods, inventory control, quality inspection, and logistics.
Perform various assembly operations on the product in accordance with the work orders, manufacturing instructions and other appropriate documents.
Verify product visually and takes corrective action when necessary. Ensure product is consistent with established specifications. Escalate quality issues as appropriate.
Ensure highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality system, ISO and/or other standards. Ensure all product is packaged per packaging specifications and routings are followed.
Finalize all required paperwork thoroughly and timely (i.e. Production Reports, Hour-by Hour, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, Sage Transactions etc.). Maintain accurate attribute/variable charts of rejected materials.
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment. Perform duties in a safe manner and observe approved safety procedures at all times. Maintain awareness of potential hazards and communicates ideas for safer alternatives to the lead and/or manager.
Focus on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality. Promote and implement use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities. Participate actively in continuous quality improvement activities, such as 6S, Kaizen events, yellow belt training and projects.
Demonstrate wiliness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate
Minimum requirements:High school degree or equivalent, an equivalent combination of training and experience or a demonstrated capability to perform the duties of the job. Previous experience in manufacturing operations, logistics and assembly line production.
Preferred requirements: Previous experience in lean manufacturing environment and/or ISO environment.Minimum of 5 years of experience with all aspects of position. Technical knowledge to disposition in-process units. Possesses skills required to assist with peer training of less experienced Operators. Backup for Operations Supervisor
