ABOUT THE BUSINESS DIVISION: Group Strategic Analytics is a 1st line function of 700 people within the Chief Risk Office with the mandate to be a single, end-to-end quantitative analytics and model delivery function for DB Group. The function covers all aspects of model development, implementation, execution and production support. Having its own set of tools, analytics and applications, DB GSA works closely with technology and the business to ensure the integrity and stability of our risk and P&L, pricing models, capital modelling and enhancing the quality of the data we consume. The function also supports our 2nd line of defence partners with aspects of capital & risk modelling and enhanced analytics such as transaction surveillance. DIVISION SPECIFICS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP ROLE: Our interns are given maximal opportunity to learn about the business at large and their specific role. The program starts with up to a week of classroom-based training, and then you will be placed directly into a Strategic Analytics team. Your day-to-day tasks will vary depending on your role and the desk you're working on. AREAS IN WHICH YOU COULD WORK INCLUDE: Strategic Analytics combine expertise in quantitative analytics, modelling, pricing and risk management with a deep understanding of systems architecture and programming. They develop pricing and risk management analytics and tools for sales and trading and employ those tools to carry out quantitative analysis of complex transactions and strategies. Quants use their mathematical expertise to develop models, interfacing with the business to deliver cutting edge analytics to meet the latest market needs. The program will provide you with an outstanding understanding of the skills and experience to launch a long-term career with us. You will learn from the best, evolve professionally as well as personally, and build a firm foundation upon which to specialise later.
