Job DescriptionGossner Foods is a growing family business with three locations across the western United States. With a combined 120 years of cheese making experience, state of the art equipment, and a team of dedicated employees; Gossner Foods is a leader in the dairy industry. What began as a strictly Swiss cheese plant, has expanded until now over 30 varieties of cheeses, and also UHT (Ultra High Temperature) shelf stable milk in a variety of flavors.Primary responsibilities:

• Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
• Be able to drive in and out of our racking system keeping the lift off of the racks and rails. Must be able to drive 36 feet in an out with a 3' variance on both sides.
• Be able to rack pallets (2,000lbs ea.) 16 feet in the air while not damaging the racking system.
• Be able to scan pallets from production into the correct location of the warehouse
• Be able to use the computer and inventory system to locate products and codes
• Learn the difference between the types of equipment used and be able to load accordingly.
• Be able to recognize all the different paper labels we use
• Learn all the different wooden pallets we use and locations of each of them.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical fitness test to determine eligibility.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • The individual must be able to work in a team oriented environment.
  • The employee will receive job specific training needed to succeed in this position.Preferred Qualifications:
    • 1-2+ years experience in manufacturing environment or production.
    • Forklift experience preferred.
